Gabriel is the primary ride control brand of ArvinMeritor Light Vehicle Aftermarket (LVA). The principal locations include a group headquarters in Brentwood, Tennessee, manufacturing and distribution centres in Chickasha, Oklahoma and in Queretaro, Mexico.

Gabriel is a leader in innovative ride control products and has been since 1907, when Gabriel introduced the first shock absorber in America, the Snubber. Other milestones include creating the first hydraulic shock absorber in 1918, the first adjustable shock in 1956 and the first U.S – produced gas- charged twin-tube shock absorber, called the Gabriel Gas Ryder, in 1983.

The company offers a variety of high- quality products for passenger cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles, as well as commercial vehicles. Product offerings include:
