Commercial vehicle disc pads are available in Protex, Remsa and Bendix brands. All of ATAP’s Commercial vehicle disc brake pads are highly suited to our ever changing market.

Protex

Remsa

Remsa was founded in 1975 and is regarded today as one of the leading manufacturers in the world friction industry; with ten manufacturing companies across the world. In Europe, Remsa is the leading supplier to the aftermarket sector, and is also experiencing impressive growth in North America.

Remsa disc pads are a premium quality product that incorporates their long life friction material with their patented backing plate locking stub system, producing a superior product - which more than meets the stringent requirements of the European ECE R-90 Regulation. Smartly presented and finished, Remsa pads are packaged complete with clips and springs as you would only expect when buying the higher priced Original Equipment product. ECE R90 among other things states that the performance of the friction material must be within +/- 15% to that of O.E., so you can be sure of a quality purchase with Remsa.

Bendix

Australia’s largest manufacturer of friction materials produces a commercial vehicle disc pad in two compounds. Bendix technology results in pads manufactured to be less abrasive and contain lubricants which protect the disc rotor surface. Sintered Carbon Metallic with a GG friction rating is suitable for heavy duty high performance braking in frequent braking environments or areas with steep gradients. Heavy Duty Carbon Metallic with a friction rating of FF is more suited to general performance braking around the city, country or freeway driving.
