Suspension

ATAP’s suspension offering includes all those items required in the repair or replacement of the more common wearing components. Bushes, rockers, pins, air springs and shock absorbers form the core of this range. All components are manufactured by world leading international suppliers.

Suspension Hardware

All Bushes, Rockers and Pins are sold under the Protex brand. Bushes are available in moulded rubber for standard duty applications or Urathane for heavy duty work.

Air Springs

A combination of Goodyear, Contitech and Firestone provide ATAP with the right mix to cover the majority of the market. Buses, trucks and semitrailers are increasingly fitted with air springs to ease the transportation of people and fragile goods and to protect the vehicle body. Usually, each axle assembly has two air springs behind the axle. Air-spring axles are built as steered single axles and as single, double and triple axle assemblies. For multi-axle combinations, one axle is frequently provided with an axle-lifting device to protect the tyres on empty runs. Air springs for this application are characterised by a high load carrying capacity and large spring deflections.

Shock Absorbers

Gabriel has been at the forefront of shock absorber research, design and manufacturing for almost a century.

FleetLine Heavy Duty Truck Shocks are proof of that. FleetLine shocks standard features are more than impressive. Multi lip seal, bulged design, floating piston seal, cold formed 360 degree arc welded mounts, 41mm bore, hydraulic extension stop and 9 stage core spring valving results in the perfect truck shock.

Fleetline Cab Shocks are designed to meet and exceed OE quality standards. Their unique gas cell design eliminates cab vibration delivering superior control and driver comfort.

Gas SLX – Adjustable Gas Shocks contain all the features of the FleetLine Heavy Duty range with the added features of gas and 3 levels of control and comfort.
